Healthwise Personnel is a division of Alpha Recruitment, which is a well-established recruitment company with a strong history of providing quality staff to our valued clients in both the public and private Healthcare sectors for over 30 years.

At Healthwise Personnel we undertake a variety of temporary, contract and permanent recruitment at competitive rates and have been very successful providing both short and long term staff for our clients. We are continuously refreshing a large pool of temporary and contract staff to meet our client’s staffing requirements.

Whether you are a large organisation with broad general requirements, such as District Health Boards, or smaller organisations with distinct specialist requirements, we have the recruitment infrastructure, experience and systems in place to meet your needs.


Healthwise uses rigorous recruitment methodologies designed to provide our clients with quality staff who:

  • Have been referenced checked with employers’ direct reporting lines
  • Have provided us with, or given us permission to request, details of convictions or other legally accessible information from the Ministry of Justice;
  • Have provided us with permission to conduct a police check with NZ Police;
  • Have agreed to the terms of the Healthwise Confidentiality of Patient and Personal Information Policy

Other services provided:

  • Immunisation checks for some commonly transmittable diseases to ensure the safety of patients as well as their own health
  • Workplace Drug Testing by our NZQA Certified Drug Testers for the purposes of pre-employment, reasonable cause, post-accident, random or drug rehab programmes
  • Safety Checks in line with the Vulnerable Children’s Act 2014 new legislation for staff classified as Children’s Workers

A bit about Erana:

I'm a people person through and through, having worked in customer service since graduating in 2012 with a degree in communications from Massey University. I enjoy engaging with people from all walks of life, and with a solid background in complaints and customer management I’m always ready to lend a hand and make sure everything’s running as it should.

A bit about Kerri:

My previous recruitment experience has been in education and the health sector. Along with being a recruitment consultant, I’m also a qualified primary school teacher and Personal trainer so I have the ability to mix and mingle with a range of people from different walks of life.

I love interacting with others and helping people find and follow their dreams, finding it truly rewarding when I make the perfect match! I have 2 boys aged 12 and 10 which keep me very busy and, on my toes, so having that work life balance is extremely important to me and this shines through in the way I communicate empathetically with my clients and candidates.

Outside the office, you can find me coaching boxing classes, hitting the gym and spending time with my family and dog, Forrest.

A bit about Tyrie:

I’ve been in recruitment since the start of 2022, with a prior background in office support, finance, electricity, and event management.

I grew up all over the Wellington Region, and have worked in both public and private sectors here.

After graduating with a BA in International Relations and Religious Studies, I was seeking a career that would allow me to work directly with people to provide a service that would improve their lives. Most people work 40 hours a week. The mahi we do and the environment we do it in makes a huge impact on our lives. Not to mention the impact the right person has on a workplace. I love to help people find what they’re looking for, whether it be development, culture, or money.

Building relationships with clients and candidates is a crucial (and my favourite) part of my role.

I’m lucky to work for the Alpha group, where I’m able to specialise in both Healthcare at Healthwise Personnel, and Finance at Alpha Recruitment (private sector) and The Johnson Group (public sector).

When I'm not work I can be found painting, crafting (ALL of the crafts), looking after the family vineyard with my dad, or reading on the train.
